Ecomondo, the leading trade show for green technologies, is set to take place at the Rimini Expo Centre from November 5th to 8th, 2024. This year’s event promises to be a global gathering of industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators, with a strong focus on sustainable solutions and international collaboration.

A Global Platform for Green Business

Ecomondo 2024 is expected to attract over 650 hosted buyers from key regions such as North Africa, Europe, North America, and Latin America. Additionally, delegations from over 100 countries and 72 organizations, institutions, and associations worldwide will participate in the event.

International Partnerships and Expansion

IEG CEO Corrado Peraboni emphasized Ecomondo’s role as a catalyst for the green economy, highlighting the event’s ability to foster international partnerships. Maurizio Ermeti, President of IEG, noted the increasing interest from Central Asia, China, Southeast Asia, Pakistan, and India, facilitated by collaborations with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Alessandra Astolfi, IEG’s Global Exhibition Director for Green & Technology, further elaborated on Ecomondo’s international network, which extends beyond Italy through a series of related events. Ecomondo Mexico (March 5-7, 2025) and Ecomondo China – CDEPE (March 27-29, 2025) will target the Latin American and Chinese markets, respectively.

African Focus and Social Impact

The 2024 edition of Ecomondo will place a special emphasis on partnerships with the African continent, aligning with the Italian government’s Mattei Plan and the African Green Growth event. To date, 8 African delegations and 104 buyers from countries like Algeria, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Botswana, Senegal, South Africa, and Kenya have confirmed their participation.

Furthermore, the collaboration with the E4Impact Foundation, led by Letizia Moratti, aims to support local entrepreneurship across 20 African countries. The 4th edition of E4Impact’s “Business Networking Week in Italy” (Milan, November 4-8, 2024) will prioritize the Circular Economy and include a visit to Ecomondo.
