Olive oil: 59,400 tonnes exported from early November 2021 to late January 2022 (ONAGRI)

Nearly 59,400 tonnes of Tunisian olive oil were exported from early November 2021 to late January 2022 down from 62,000 tonnes last year, the latest statistics released by the National Observatory of Agriculture (French: ONAGRI) show.

The volume of extra-virgin olive oil accounts for 85% of total exports compared to 87% in the same period last year. The share of packaged olive oil stands at 15% against 13% in the previous season.

Export revenues grew 32% on last year, reaching 620.6 million dinars (MD) by late January. Packaged olive oil accounts for 18% of the overall value. Likewise, the average price edged up 40%.
