Cumulative labour income, made up mainly of remittances from the Tunisian diaspora, edged up 16.8% to 1.732 billion dinars during the first quarter (Q1) of 2022, compared to 1.483 billion dinars during the same period of 2021.
In value, these transfers increased by 249.1 million dinars, according to the daily monetary and financial indicators published Tuesday by the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT).
On the other hand, tourist receipts in Q1 of 2022 saw a 48% increase compared to the same period of 2021, reaching 545.3 MD.
As for net foreign exchange assets, from April 4, 2022, they are about 22.615 billion dinars, or 124 days of imports, against 21.841 billion dinars on the same date of 2021, equivalent to 152 days of imports.
Despite an increase in the value of net foreign currency assets of 774.3 MD, a decrease of 28 days is noted in terms of the number of days of imports.
