Following the success of last year’s edition of the Chengdu International Environmental Protection Expo, Europe China Environmental Exhibitions (ECEE) and Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) have announced the new dates for the next expo: 16-18 May 2024, to be held once again at the Chengdu Century City Expo Centre. They are also launching its new name: ECOMONDO CHINA – CDEPE Leading the Ecological and Energy Transition in Western China, alongside a new format.
ECOMONDO CHINA – CDEPE’S NEW FORMAT
ECOMONDO CHINA – CDEPE, in line with the organisers’ objectives, aims to represent a platform of innovation for the entire sector: a hub for business and networking for Chinese and international operators, a central event to address the urgent and ongoing challenges that the environment and energy transition pose globally.
Consistently, the event will have a new format: the sectors of water and waste treatment, prevention and control of air pollution, environmental monitoring, and bioenergy will be integrated with the new energy sectors of “storage” and “electric mobility,” in line with the investments and efforts made by the Chinese government for energy transition.
THE COMMUNITY AND THE GEO-ECONOMIC SCENARIO
The exhibition will bring together the entire community: exhibitors, buyers and visitors from western and mainland China, as well as national and global companies, associations, speakers and stakeholders.
The south-west regions of China, especially the economic hub of Chengdu-Chongqing, contribute to approximately 40% of the country’s total GDP and will play a key role in pursuing the roadmap towards the complete decarbonisation of Chinese production by 2030. A market with interesting business, cooperation and investment opportunities for small and medium-sized Italian companies.
AN INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE TO OPEN ECOMONDO CHINA – CDEPE
An opening international conference will delve into the contents of ECOMONDO CHINA – CDEPE, presenting strategies adopted by Europe and China to address climate change and environmental risks, innovations and case histories. The conference will also cover technologies to mitigate climate change and address environmental risks.
