The Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries said in a statement Thursday grain harvest cannot be started before reaching a moisture content of 13%, to preserve the production against destruction during storage.
The statement is part of the preparations for the harvest season and aims to attract the best conditions for the collection.
Decree No. 10-62, dated April 3, 1962, adopted under Law No. 18-62 dated May 24, 1962, amended by Decree No. 7-70 dated September 26, 1970 and the texts supplementing Decree No. 621 of the year of June 13, 2012, fixing the barometer of the calibration of durum wheat and durum wheat (intended for human consumption for sale and purchase) are in force and aim to organize the local harvest so as to ensure food security in the country, the department recalled.
