PM Bouden and Egypt’s Mostafa Madbouly discuss bilateral economic cooperation

Economic cooperation and investment in promising sectors were the focus of a meeting held Friday at the Kasbah between Prime Minister Najla Bouden and Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The meeting also tackled the support given to the Tunisian-Egyptian joint commissions.

During the meeting, Bouden stressed the importance of this visit in upholding bilateral cooperation in several fields and boosting investments in both countries.

For his part, Madbouly voiced the determination of the Egyptian government to boost cooperation between the two countries, stressing the importance of holding the 17th edition of the High Joint Commission, as it represents an opportunity to establish new agreements and memoranda of understanding and to boost partnership.

The two sides also reviewed the recommendations of the Tunisian-Egyptian Economic Forum, including the support of partnership between the various business actors and strengthening bilateral cooperation and partnership frameworks.

The Egyptian Prime Minister is currently on a working visit to Tunisia, on the occasion of the 17th edition of the High Joint Commission and the Economic Forum of businesspersons of the two countries, held May 12 and 13 in Tunis.
