The sixth edition of the oil, gas and renewable energy “PETROAFRICA 2022” will be held from June 14 to 17 at the El Kram Exhibition Center, Tunis.

This major event aims to promote this strategic sector through exploring new investment opportunities, seeking different sources of funding for major projects and creating a platform for meetings and exchanges bringing together different public and private actors, experts, policy makers and investors from around the world.

Organiser of the exhibition and Marketing Director Besma Hmaidi said at a press conference this year’s event will host several national and international experts and professionals in the oil and gas sector.

It will be a major opportunity to attract new investments and inject new momentum into this sector which has experienced a major recession in recent years.

It will also help establish contacts between Tunisian and foreign investors and recover investments lost by Tunisia in recent years.

One hundred and twenty exhibitors from several countries are expected to attend this exhibition, including Tunisia, Senegal, Nigeria, Libya, Iraq, Sudan, Mauritania, and France.

Issues such as the digital transition of the energy sector, the state of play of the oil and gas sector and its future prospects, the impact of renewable energy and the future of photovoltaic energy will be addressed at this edition.

PETROAFRICA will be held next year in Libya, according to Besma Hmaidi, who stressed the importance of Libyan participation in the 2022 edition of this show.
