Tunisia and the Netherlands have joined forces with Africa to strengthen economic ties through a recently signed agreement. The Tunisia Africa Business Council (TABC) and the Netherlands-Africa Business Council (NABC) inked the deal on June 26th at the Dutch Embassy in Tunis.

This partnership aims to unlock new opportunities for Tunisian and Dutch businesses to collaborate. The agreement specifically targets increased bilateral trade, according to a TABC press release.

The pact goes beyond just boosting trade. It also positions Tunisia as an attractive gateway for Dutch investment into Africa, leveraging the benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) agreements.

By working together, the parties aim to support each other in areas like trade incentives and investment opportunities. They’ll also explore new avenues for collaboration, particularly at the upcoming FITA2025 international conference.
