  • Sport among the pillars of IEG’s strategic plan
  • Between prestigious private assignments and public offices, the story of a man who has worn the National Handball team’s blue jersey 45 times

Born in 1968, Gian Luca Brasini graduated from Bologna University with a degree in Trade and Economics, followed by a master in the Management of Sports Organisations. He now lives in Rimini with two children. Currently a member of the Board of Directors of Italian Exhibition Group Spa, quoted on the stock market, which includes sport among the pillars of its recently presented strategic plan.

HIS SPORTING, PROFESSIONAL AND INSTITUTIONAL PATH

Previous professional experiences have seen Brasini direct and expand an articulated multi-territorial DMC (Bologna, Ravenna and Florence), IF, which comprises 40 public and private partners, for which, among numerous other projects, Brasini developed the Tourism Hub at the ‘Enzo and Dino Ferrari’ motor racing circuit in Imola. These experiences also include the co-founding of “La terra dei Motori”, the only product club that deals exclusively with the tourist promotion and marketing of the most important places and events linked to the motoring tradition in Emilia-Romagna.

In the past, Brasini also worked with Ascom and accumulated extensive experience in marketing in the tourism hotel sector. However, his past also, and above all, includes a professional debut in the AC Club Fiorentina.

SPORT IN CONTINUITY
A past closely linked to the present: today, Gian Luca Brasini is marketing supervisor (advertising, sponsoring and TV broadcasting rights) of EHF Marketing GmbH, the company created specifically to manage the marketing rights of the Handball Champion’s League that is part of the Vienna-based EHF (European Handball Federation).
