Thirty Italian and international Start-ups and young green companies present products, services and innovative technologies related to the energy transition
The energy transition meets innovation and lands at K.EY – The Energy Transition Expo, the first stand-alone edition of IEG’s (Italian Exhibition Group) reference event in Italy, Africa and in the Mediterranean region on energy transition, scheduled at the Rimini Expo Centre on March, 22-24.
Under the dome of the Expo Centre, at the main entrance from the South Hall, K.EY will provide the Innovation Square, a physical and virtual exhibition space entirely reserved for thirty Italian and international green Start-ups and Scale-ups offering products or services related to the energy transition, where they will have the opportunity to present their most innovative technologies and new ideas.
The call attracted numerous subscriptions and expression of interest from more than 60 Start-ups and innovative SMEs involved in the energy transition. A success that prompted the organization to expand the number of spaces available at the fair to 30, compared to the initially planned 20.
With the Start-up and Scale-up Innovation Area K.EY consolidates its role as an incubator, facilitator and reference platform for young national and international green companies and innovators, where they can meet companies and investors and develop new projects and sustainable businesses, taking the opportunity to launch their brand within the reference event for the renewable energy and the energy efficiency in the Mediterranean region.
The initiative is organised by Italian Exhibition Group and promoted in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency. The main partner is ART-ER (Attrattività Ricerca Territorio), a consortium based in Emilia-Romagna.
Among the 30 selected Start-ups, 26 are Italian, from Lombardy, Piedmont, Tuscany, Marche, Emilia Romagna, Puglia, Abruzzo, and Friuli Venezia Giulia, and 4 are foreign: 2 from France, 1 from the United Kingdom, and 1 from the Netherlands.
They oversee several areas, including photovoltaics, storage and solar, wind technologies, hydrogen, energy efficiency, e-Mobility and IOT – digitization, with platforms to unite renewable energy communities, digital transformation solutions for the construction industry, system integrators in the marine sector for electric boats, innovative plants and system integrators in hydrogen production, SaaS for energy analysis and coaching to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. Manufacturers of airborne wind turbines (AWE) for off-grid populations, manufacturers of long-life, sustainable and recyclable stationary batteries, developers of thermal batteries for waste heat recovery, mechatronic engineering companies providing innovative solutions for the marine and automotive sectors and engineering companies specializing in industrial decarbonization projects are present, as well as companies engaged in the internet of things, consulting and supporting organizations in decarbonizing their processes.
