Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) has joined forces with the Smart City Business America Institute (SBCA) to organize the SCB-Br Expo and Congress, starting in 2025. This renowned event plays a key role in propelling the development of smart cities across Brazil by showcasing the power of technology and innovation in creating sustainable and self-sufficient urban environments.

SCB-Br aligns perfectly with IEG’s existing portfolio. MundoGeo, an IEG acquisition, focuses on drones, space exploration, and geolocation, while Expo InfraFM caters to the facility management, logistics, construction, and industrial maintenance sectors.

The Smart City concept has transformed significantly, recognizing cities as interconnected ecosystems where technology paves the way for optimized infrastructure and improved quality of life for residents. Citizens themselves are seen as crucial drivers of change, actively contributing to the success of smart city initiatives.

This partnership with SCB-Br strengthens our position in the Brazilian trade show and event market while opening doors to new markets and models,” says Corrado Peraboni, CEO of IEG. Graziano Messana, head of IEG’s Brazilian operations, highlights the additional synergy with MundoGeo and Expo InfraFM.

SCB-Br attracts a significant public sector audience, including representatives from the Prefecture of São Paulo, other provinces, and key state entities seeking innovative and sustainable solutions. Participation in the event offers substantial opportunities for all involved.

The upcoming edition, the first under IEG’s management, will be held on June 3rd and 4th, 2025, at the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.
